An Inspirational Quote

"If we are happy when we eat and happy in our relationship with food, then our bodies will literally accept the food more
effectively into out system. Often it is more important for us to heal our relationship with food than it is to change what we
eat."

Overcoming Weight Loss Resistance

by Patty Bonafede
I bet you're thinking what I thought the first time I heard that title. "Weight Loss Resistance---you mean there's a condition
with a name for the reason I've been unable to lose weight? Who'd of thought!" If you have been trying to lose weight and have
been stumped why the scale isn't budging, read on. It's all about your metabolism. Is yours healthy or damaged? For those with a
healthy metabolism, weight loss and menopause can be easier to handle than those with a damaged metabolism.
If you live like a healthy lean person - 1) eating a balanced whole foods diet, 2) participating in weight training and
de-stressing exercise, 3) supporting your body with vitamin and mineral supplements that are right for your metabolism and 4)
have healthy lifestyle behaviors - you will become a healthy lean person 90 percent of the time.
However, there is a minority (quickly rising) of people who have damaged their metabolism in various ways and have one or
more areas of weight loss resistance that must be resolved in order to ensure their long term success.
According to scientific research, these issues may be lowering your metabolic rate and/or making you weight-loss resistant.
How many areas can you identify with as being a problem? Do you need help?
- Stress (Too much)
- Sleep (Lack of)
- Nutrient Deficiencies
- Cravings or Inappropriate Appetite
- Food Allergies & Gut Issues
- Improper Exercise
- Insulin Resistance
- Depressed basal metabolic rate
- Bad Behaviors, Lack of Internal Motivation & Attitude of Failure
- Thyroid Disorder
- Toxic Chemicals (Sugar, Caffeine, Alcohol, Nicotine, Street Drugs and Over the Counter Drugs)
- Hormone Imbalance
Patty, James and Catherine have been trained how to help you heal these challenges with better foods, supplements, improved
methods of exercise, stress management, sleep strategies, trading toxic chemicals for non-toxic alternatives, behavior modification and
lastly psychological strategies.
Follow our plans and you are on your way to a healthy metabolism, a new and improved YOU!
With this new information remember that: "Knowledge and ideas are never given to you without being given the power to make them
a reality."
Client Testimonial

by Marian Walker and James Williams
Marian and James first met in early 2001 when he was her exercise trainer at a health club near London. She came to him for help in
shifting the "last few pounds of body fat" that just wouldn't go.
Marian was in her early 50's and was naturally youthful and in good shape, so she just wanted to tone up using exercise. For
the next two years, with James' guidance, Marian tried all of the exercise modalities available to help her achieve her ideal
toned figure. None of them worked.
At this time James saw the connection between nutrition, stress and exercise and introduced Marian to Metabolic Typing, a form of
nutritional therapy. Initially, Marian lost a few pounds and enjoyed better energy levels and a cessation of hormonally-triggered
headaches. Unfortunately, the benefits didn't last and in early 2005 Marian contacted James for his help again.
"By the end of my month's detox I was down to a weight I haven't been at for at least 10 years!"
Marian understood that the less-than-healthy snacks she ate and the wine she drank made her happy for only a very short period of
time. In the long run, these choices were making her very UNHAPPY, because, like many women, as soon as she eyeballed her figure
in the mirror, or put on an beautiful dress or her jeans, she did not feel good about how she looked. Now, by making healthy and
tasty food choices, Marian feels better on the inside and out. Congratulations, Marian!
Seminar Success!

At the end of June, Catherine flew over to the UK for a month to present two seminars to health and fitness professionals. The
first seminar, Nutritional Mastery, taught them how to simplify the nutritional assessment process.
The second seminar, Business and Money Mastery, helped people to understand and overcome their blocks to building a successful
business.
